Just an FYI on the Fire-N-Ice (FNI) Airboxes for the 2005 900 RMK/Switch/Fusion and the 2006 700/900 RMK/Switch/Fusion...
I don't sell these airboxes nor am I a dealer for these.

FNI decided to make another run of these because of demand, at least for another season

I used and really liked the quality of my FNI airbox on my past sleds. My new build this year will be getting one as well.

If you want to go with a bumper on your 2005 900 RMK/Switch/Fusion and the 2006 700/900 RMK/Switch/Fusion... you will need to use run this airbox or the Stockeror the Timbesled fits also.

If you already have a Belt Guard from a previous kit (eg SLP, Vanamburg, Timbersled, Fabcraft, TCP)... FNI will sell you just the airbox without the beltguard and deduct the cost of the beltguard .

I decided to spend the money and get one on my sled. They are nice and light and I can see how they will really help improve airflow under the hood, which is always good:D

that looks like a good set up i see they also replace the alum belt guard with a plastic one how do you feel about that you think it will hold up if a belt blows on ya

I'm not crazy about that, I'll be honest... but when was the last time Mark or I have blown a belt...:face-icon-small-hap

And actually the sleds don't have a belt guard to begin with, just the airbox over the clutches... All in all I feel much safer this way having the airbox over to the side.

I made one from aluminum that is stroger, lighter and wider becuase I kept getting snow on my clutchs when laid over on that side .It is also easier to mount a tool bad on top of as well

What connects the Fire n Ice intake to the stock peice? How does it seal?

Since FnI hasn't actually made the intakes yet and is only taking pre-orders ...

How difficult would it be for them to modify the intakes to have better clearance for use with the SLP pipe, especially on the 2006 sleds?

Would they effectivley have to make all new moldings of this or is this something that theoretically could be done by modifying an existing mold

Dogmeat Plenty left... I have the FNI airbox on mine with the SLP pipe and have zero issues.

I use the offset hose kit with this and a bit of extra insulation in that area for good measure.

It is tight. They should still have some off-set kits left that move the air box a bit farther from the pipe

trimming here also helps

LPI, I see you put a spare belt mount on your clutch cover, does it work? I put a belt up there and it pushed the cover into the clutch and did some damage.
