Fine Aluminum dust, WTF???

I just got a 09 M8 with 314 miles on it. I took it out for about 15 miles. And after riding I noticed a really fine aluminum/silver dust all over the clutchs, clutch side bulk head/belly pan. The rollers on the secondary look like the they are shinny metal because there is aluminum/silver dust packed on them. It will wipe off, but WTF is this stuff? I had it all cleaned up before riding it.

It has the stock clutching set up for 6-9K. And shift assist. I was riding at around 1500 feet and seen about 7840 RPM, I would have thought that it would of been over reving some due to the clutching for 6-9K feet?
Track tension is set to Cat spec, so its not that pulling down the motor keeping it from reving higher.

Thanks for any help.

i just got an 07' M8 with 250mi on it and noticed this dust you speak of while changing my weights. looked concentrated around the primary on my sled, hoping its just a little break in dust from roller contact surfaces. i was more concerned about the missing paint from my spring that i later found on the inside of the cups where it is binding.....

I have been doing some searching on here. And there is one other post about this issue. One response was to check the exhaust pipe cover. Where the halves of the cover meet, it was said they rub together grinding it fine silver powder.

My primary spring look like hell aswell......nature of the Cat primary.
