Finally snow in northern colorado

I have been getting allot of calls asking about the conditions in North Park (Buff Pass, Rabbit Ears, Cameron Pass, ect). We are getting very heavy snow in the park as I type this, 7in on the ground just this AM with 1 to 2 ft forecast for the park by tomorrow PM. So I can only imagine what that means for the mts. It is the sons birthday and family from all over is here for only a couple of days so unfortunately no ride with pics until Sat or Sunday. Just wanted to let who ever is interested know that winter is finally back here in northern CO. Thanks Dave

Don't be fooled by tudizzles thinly veiled attempt to steer you north I hear SoCo is where the main brunt of this storm will land. ha!

Thanks for the report. It sure looks like it will not matter where you are this weekend. Tons of Fresh everywhere. Hopefully tomorrow work is called off. I may be towing the neighborhood kids up and down the block. WHooohoo

yeah! If I were to choose a place to ride, it would definitely be down South in the Gunnison and Wolf Creek areas. RE/Buff isn't gonna be that impressive, most of the snow is hugging the State line and that is further North than RE/Buff

Sorry to hi-jack your post Dave. Go check out Dave's motel in Walden to be in the middle of some of the best snow and riding areas around. New wing and swimming pool size Hot tub coming soon!! I may have to give up the camping! Got a foot here at 7500' and piling up. Should be excellent all around Walden.

Rabbit Ears sucks, it's only for beginners, Vail Pass is more technical and suited for the advanced rider. I would go there if I were you.

Drove over Cameron Pass and Rabbit Ears today, both places getting hit hard with lots of snow. Talked to some work mates who rode Buff yesterday, and they said 4-feet up on top, but it was a little heavy (not wet). Looking forward to riding Friday and this weekend since I skipped the last two weekends due to muddy dirt roads and warm conditions.

Paul, saw you in town today getting supplies. Are you parked at grizzly or muddy lot? how long are you staying around for, It looks like the soonest I can get out is Sunday. Yep, that was me plowing, I haven't had to plow since the beginning of Feb(Sad). I have my boys pinewood derby race tomorrow in Laramie or should I say today now, but it is looking good for a Sunday ride. How much snow do you have up there???
