Finally got to ride!

Man the ice was bad down low @ Salmon la Sac but the grooming up to French cabin was speedway smooth!

Had to use the scratchers until we got up higher but we did get into a couple fun places and if you looked at the right spot in the sky there was even some sunshine!

Met up with Wa_Sledder and his bride and 5 other friends for the first ride of the year (for me anyway) unless you count the riding in the neighborhood @ Christmas time!

My back is still wasted but I was able to ride for about 4 hours anyway and had a great time. I can't hardly walk this morning but it was worth it!

She seemed to have a great time and never mentioned her knee at all.

I didn't know there might be a problem with it though.

I was keeping the speed down quite a bit to take it real easy on my back (4 bulged disks per the MRI) so that might have helped her if she had a knee issue.

Great people too!
I know Gary from work and Mari had a blast with Diane.
The wife and I are hoping they join us at our place at Ocean Park next weekend for the Razor clam dig.

Dianes knee held up nicely. It was pretty sore by the time we made it back though. After we went by our friends at Elk Heights we met back up with Todd and Jay at the Brick. That place was pretty cool. The food looked great. Diane said the Onion rings were the best she has ever had. At least we found a little snow at the top. Sled never even came close to getting hot. All in all a great day. Hope your back is feeling better. Tell Mari hi for us. Diane had a great time ridding with all of you too.

Nice pics, one ride is better than 0 rides, in my book! We have ridden once at Tonga and it was 'the' day to ride, the powder was phenomenal, but that was waaaaaaaaaay back on January 4th.....
