Filming in McCall by BAM Productions

This week a film production company, Bam Productions, is filming around the McCall area. This company is the same one that films the Jackson Hole Hill Climbs and their videos can access 16 million homes. They are filming a series call the "Sled the West" and it will appear in about a year on the networks. Exact date to be determined. This series is about family sledding and they are trying to entice new and younger members to our sport.

They will be filming around Brundage Mountain on Saturday and the Snocross Races at Lake Fork on Sunday. Come on out to enjoy the races and drags and to get yourself in the film.

They are being hosted by the Bearcreek Lodge and we owe them a big thanks for this.

Spud.

PS, the trails today were in perfect shape on a ride to Warren and we saw the groomer going out anyway when we got back to the Wallace lot. We do need some more snow but it is pretty good up high, just watch out for the stumps.

hope they have a permit with the forest service...

I cant even film on my home turf anymore without paying $150 a day and putting in 30 days notice on what days i will be filming.

The forest service is a complete joke.

they must think you can actually make money on a snowmobile film.

But on another note, it is great bam is here promoting our area and getting new people into the sport.

permit

I was told they have a FS permit. They even have Idaho tags for their Cats.

Great People.

WTF... That is about the stupidist dam thing I have heard of.

two thumbs up to bam.
totally spaced the sno cross this weekend. What is the deal with the drags? is it just across the lake on the snow? when, where, $$$?
When, where, what time on the snocross also.
Might have to see if I can get some guys to head up their.

drags

They are running drags for anyone who wants to run, cost is $10 and run as many times and against who ever you can beat. Dragging is addition to regular admission. No timers, no radar, just go for the fun of it. Short track will be set up for this plus the running of the races on the main snocross track for the competitors. They are expecting about 55 racers in several catagories. It is being held on East Lake Fork road, about a mile off of hw 55 then on the left just past the county rock pit.

The time trails start at 9;00, Saturday (I think,) and the finals are on Sunday at about noon. Racing over by 3pm Sunday. (Will try to get better times.)

Come on out and have some fun.

Hi Spud,
Had to pop on and say thanks for the great guide service. McCall is an outstanding place to ride. Got incredible footage for the TV show. I think it will be the premier episode for the 2010/2011 season.
And yes, we got the FS permit. It took 6 weeks!:face-icon-small-con
Posting a few photos of the McCall filming on www.sleddingthewest.com
