Fill your Airbag canister at a Fire Department

We now have an adapter that you can take to your local fire department to fill your BCA and SnowPulse airbag canister.

Almost every fire department in the county has a way to fill their SCBA's with dry compressed air, which is exactly what is needed for the BCA and SnowPulse airbag canister.

To fill your airbag canister correctly, you need an O-Ring kit. Replace the O-Ring on the canister, reset the firing pin, and fill VERY SLOWLY. Most firefighters should know how to fill an air canister.

PM me with any questions on how to fill your Airbag Canisters!

air bag refill

make sure that they are set up for the right pressure cause some scba (self contained breathing apperatis) tanks are 2000 psi, some are 3000 psi, and some are 4500 psi i believe.

thats sweet for someone who just wants to order it but my suggestion would be go to your local fire department and see what pressure they are running and what they are using to adapt to there bottles, then you just need to adapt that to a 1/8 " female thats rated at 3000 psi. but them 1/8 inch quick disconnects are 6 bucks on ebay.

You are correct, the SCBA's are all different. But this connector doesn't connect to the SCBA. Instead, it connects to the cascade system at the fire department; which is the system used to fill the SCBA's. The cascade systems are typically around 4,000 PSI.

Some fire departments don't fill their own tanks. That is the case here, but they don't because the local dive shop does it for them. It is an agreement they have. I know the dive shop here has filled tanks for me free of charge. Even if they do charge it is not much. Worth it to go to a place that knows what they are doing and has the proper equipment.

At our Fire Dept., our cascade system is set up for the SCBA bottles that we have. We normally fill our bottles to around 2250psi to 2500psi by a regulated air system on the fill line, from the compressed air storage tanks. We have the capabilities to turn the regulator down if need be. Most SCBA systems are 2250psi or 4500psi from what I am aware of. Just my .02!!!!!

Every Float 30 bag I have purchased included the o-ring set, grease, tooth pick and allen wrench. Did you not get them with your canister or have you refilled it enough times to use all your o-rings?

Snow big deal is correct the adapter you are selling will work with the cascade systems to refill scba's. all the systems are able to be set to the psi that you need to refill different bottles. yours are to be filled to 2700psi, and most of our newer scba bottles are filled to 3k psi but with the turn of the dial it can be changed. my buddy purchased one of bca's units and he needs this adapter so i can fill his canister for him cause the dive shop is charging him 6 bucks to have it filled. ill let him know u have them on here

No I bought mine right when they came out and did not see any o ring kit included. Maybe that was changed on the later models

UGH, looks like I ordered the wrong one!!!!!! I wish the description was better for the one I ordered. Looks like I bought an expensive quick connect.:face-icon-small-sad

Correct, the first BCA canisters did not come with O-Rings and the SnowPulse airbags don't come with o-rings. Now, all BCA canisters come with a pack of 5 o-rings.

Did you order through us? If so, let me know and we'll get you taken care of with the right fitting that you need.

our scba bottles take 4500 psi, but our cascade holds 6000 psi. We can adjust the output to whatever you need with the regulator. You would just need to know the psi required in your bottle and the adaptor.
