FiberGlass Under the Hood

I have fiberglass everywhere under the hood all over every part.

Where could it be coming from? Its super itchy.

Bushing on the clutch maybe??

If it is really fine I would lean toward a drive belt coming apart. Or the clutch alignment is off and the belt is wearing prematurely.

It's coming from under the heat shield on the stock pipe. With more heat cycles and hours, it starts to get blown out from under and all around....

There is stuff everywhere. Can't see it being the belt.

Does this happen a lot? Never thought of it happening and haven't noticed it in my Pro. Have to keep an eye out for it.
Sorry I was off on the belt theory.

There was an 800 IQ at the dealer on friday with fiberglass stuck everywhere under the hood. Problem was it was inside everything also. was getting new pistons and the throttle bodies were plugged also. The heat shield had seperated at the gap between the two pieces. He didnt say if this was a common problem or not

My 09 800 did the same thing heat shield on exhaust was loose grey metallic crap every where in side the turbo housing cleaned it out and put the fix kit at same time took heat shield off POR 15 makes a exhaust manifold coating thats good to 1400 deg i put that on works great keeps heat down and looks good

Broken record but heat shield Fiberglass on stock pipe buddys 10 assault was doing it with 1500 mi took the heat shield off and poof problem solved!

mine did the same thing and I got it warrantied. It makes a horrible mess.
