few things i would like help with

well first off i finaly got a good ride on my new 900. good f*in lord they are heavy lol i kinda like my 400lbs mod sled lol, but wow they climb nice :face-icon-small-hap for a little guy like my self....140lbs the sled tends to drive where it wants unless im ontop of it :rolleyes: i have herd that if i take out the sway bar it will be easier to lean over but how will this affect pow riding.. i know all ablut the loss in trail conditions but what about powder? next consern when im riding it and let off the throttle it revs around 2250 for a while (30-40 seconds) then drops to 1550-1600 that sound right? this is my first efi sled. and when im just crusin along it almost sounds rich, and every so often the exhaust will pop sputter. i would say just burning unburnt fuel? would this be the tps? reading at say 3/8 when im only at 1/4 throttle? other than that i love my new found friend. but again i think she needs to go on a diet lol :beer;TRACTOR ON!:beer;

EDIT: oh yeah almost forgot i have a question for any one thats running their sled anywhere from 2000ft-6500ft what primary weights are you using? the guy i bought mine off of has the 62-70 weights but nothing heavier. should i look at some heavier ones? the max rpm i hit today was 7850. not to sure when thies redline. thanks for any and all help love this site..... this site is totaly worth what 4 cents a day lol ill pay gladly.

If you have ridden Cats and like how they have handled, then you will like the sled with out a sway bar. Better ski's will help to.

Is this a new sled or used?

its used 05 with 2200 on the clock.06 crank with 300-400 k. has slp pipe and can + reflash. 19 42/43 gears (166 track). all updates,slp intake, misc other upgrades. i have added some vents on the clutch side also so diffrent skis will help me throw it around a bit?

-225 lb front track spring
-gripper skis
-08 or newer polaris spindles or holz spindles
-loose the sway bar

It will feel like a different sled....

7850 is higher than you want to be...you do not want to over stress the cranks by over reving these 900 engines....I would try to get a set of 10-72 weights and see where you are....MAX rpm you want to see is 74-7500.

Edit: notice that you have the SLP pipe/can combo so I am unaware of RPM ranges for that...maybe someone else can chime in

ok so for the spindles any modification or will the 08+ just bolt in? what are the track springs stock? and a 225 would be good for a 140lbs rider. what about the front should i play with the spring rates or leave as is? jumping side to side a get about 3-4" of travel sound alright. thanks again everyone

for the slp pipe you want 7600-7800 as far as weight in the primary you should be running around a 10-72 to a 10-74 the 74's would be better and a 140/340lb primary spring the blue/pink or you can run the black/pink both are slp springs.

as far as the idle that it pretty much normal. the sputtering can be a tps issue i would build the tester and check the setting and check the sweep make sure it goes up steady as you press the throttle and that it returns to the correct setting every time you shut the throttle.

yes the spindles will bolt in...you may need to run down to the hardwares store and get longer upper ball joint bolts...I believe you need 2 1/4" but if they dont have that 2 1/2" will work too. the 225 track spring will help the front end from divingand make it feel much lighter in the front. I would ride the sled with the sway bar in and the 225 track spring and see how you like it. Then if you want it more flickable, take out the sway bar and preload the front shocks tell you feel a good in-between.

started taking apart the 900 and noticed that it has a all black spring that has a green line running top to bottom. it also has 10-68 weights in it. so i should find a blue/pink spring and 10-74 weights? whats engagement on that setup?
