Fellow Snowesters clear this up for me

Hey, I saw what was advertised on Ebay a few months back as a White 08/09 M series Hood. It was white, had all the 09 Sno Pro Decals on it, and a SMALL round gauge hole.

My question is: Did/Does Cat make a 2008 or 2009 white M Sno Pro hood with the small gauge hole? Or any white hood with the small hole?

It may be that the hood on Ebay was painted and new decals added to it?

I'm looking for a white hood with the small gauge hole and I don't really care what year or model it's off of, I just want to be sure I am looking for something that was actually manufactured

all the 08 and 09 hoods have smaller guage holes than the older hoods as the guages were updated to the new styles in 08. the SP and non-SP sleds have different guages but the hole is the same size for both.

If that's a fact, I sure have been getting some BS info from some others...

So Quick you are saying all 08/09 hoods have the same gauge cut out (round) regardless of the actual type of gauge installed. No goofy shaped holes for the sno pro gauges 08/09.

Just walked out to the trailer, round holes for both our snopros.

You got me wondering.

 

[RACINSTATION]

The older M chassis hoods had a cutout that looked like the speedo. All the newer 2008-2010 have a round hole that looks the same shape as the non sno pro gauge, but the other gauges fit in them too.

You will be okay with the hood you are looking at.
