Fellow Avy Pack Users.

Hey Guys,
Last fall I was asking for stats on the snow pulse bag. I never recieved any information from snow pulse that made me feel that I should purchace a pack from them. I bought an ABS and thank my lucky stars I haven't had to use it. The area that I ride in has not had an avy death until this year, sadly we lost a young father, husband to be and very well liked young man. Luck wasn't on his side that day. He didn't have any safety gear at all, which who knows, it may or may not have saved his life.
I was just on the Mud and Snow web site. We lost another sledder this past week. This man not like, the young fellow that I spoke of before had all the training and equipment to make as sure as anyone can be that he would be home safe.
The reason that I am writing this is because of the thread directly under the Fallen Angel. It is Important Information to all Snow pulse users. It is to do with the .05% snow pulse back that didn't inflate! Please tell me that this has nothing to do with Albert wearing a SNOW PULSE pack and it not inflating.
I have heard of another SNOW PULSE that didn't inflate earlier this year, luck for that person they made it out.
Chuck, by the stat that you have listed and if I am doing the math right. This year (since this is the first year for Snow Pulse), there has been 400 times that the Snow Pulse has been used, 2 times the bag didn't work, one resulting in a death! That makes the Snow Pulse have better stats than ABS.
I am so glad I bought the ABS.
If anyone one is looking for a pack please do your home work, it is your life you are playing with. Don't just take some fast talking salesman word that things work because he said they do!
BE SAFE and my prayers go out to Alberts family and friends

The Snowpulse pack who was worn by an Albertan, the one who passed away near Mcbride in January did not have a cylinder in the backpack and his handle was not unzipped. I was contacted by the Coroner who gave me that information. The coroner was also told by the victims friends that he was aware that the pack was not hooked up when he was using it.

As for the other incident this was a test fire in a parking lot. There have been three successful incidents of Snowpulse use in the last month. One wear a victim was thrown over a 30 ft cliff and through trees. The airbag stayed inflated and he believes his injuries were greatly reduced by wearing the Snowpulse.

Please get your facts straight before you make comments which you know nothing about.

I must apologize for making a false statement about the number of people that have not survived wearing a Snow Pulse bag. I was unaware that the fellow killed in McBride was wearing one.
Again please accept my apologizes.
