Feedback Timbersled intake

Anyone use the timbersled intake? I have a guy local to me parting a 900 and he has a timbersled intake kit with the clutch guard for sale. Wonder if its worth picking up. He's wants $100?

we were runing them and didn't like them in the powder and when hot the sleds got boggy. also don't think the let the motor breath enuff. the hole is pretty small compared to the opening in the boost box.

I ran them on two 700's. Didn't have any problem on powder days with them. The only problem I had was the screws that mount them coming loose. I would recommend also sealing around the base and maybe wrapping it with heat tape to make sure you get a good seal. Extra venting on the hood to help keep the intake air temp cooler would be a good idea with the Timbersled intake.

Not sure if they flow enough air for a 900 though, like Biggdawg said. $100 is pretty cheep you could also sell it later if you didn't like it.

Don't use one if you have the SLP pipe, I couldn't get mine to clear for the life of me without rubbing the pipe and that was even after screwing around with all kinds of offset boots of different lengths and what have you.

my sled came with the timbersled intake and the slp exhaust and it seems to clear fine.
it also has the pre filter for the k and n air filter on there.

Timbersled shows it with an SLP Pipe on their website.

Thought they were pretty expensive for what you get and sit to close to the pipe.
I would gut the stocker first or build one.

They are way to expensive for what you get if you buy a new one.

I have one on and haven't had a problem. I am a flatlander though (Fusion 9)so no idea with it in powder. Just make some extra venting in the hood and panels then will be all right. No problem with it bogging while the dynoport is on. But just a couple weeks ago the top silver cap on top the filter came off. No biggy, just get some epoxy and let set good for a couple hours. Had it on for 2 1/2 years. Prefilter is getting a bit worn though.
I have tried gutting the stock airbox and doing a mod with bullseyes was making it too lean with dynoport pipe. With stock pipe it was good though.

My 900 came with one when i bought it in Alaska. Got air hungry a few times when i was going through real deep powder. But I have no complaints with this filter. Ran my sled last year on Baker and didnt have any issues. Ran great.

Putting it on a 06 700 RMK for my son. I bought it for $115 to my door. I figured I can try it for that. has to be better than the stock box/clutch junk. Will be basiically a stock machine with a few goodies....mostly suspension and all the other needed upgrades I learned about here.

Add some vents so it gets plenty of cold air and it will be fine on the 700.

That isn't the SLP y-pipe. The SLP y-pipe, at least on the 06' models, is longer than stock.

Trust me, I ****ed around with this for months, it won't clear.

05 SLP pipe doesn't have a Y-pipe with it. That is the 05 sled Timbersled built in the photo, see the gold head on it.
