Feedback on R&R Slasher trailers

Hello,

I will be in the market for an enclosed trailer over the next several months and have just started shopping around. I'm looking at all aluminum construction. After looking at Nashcar, Rance, and R&R I have to wonder why the R&R trailers are priced less than the others. I'm looking into the 7X22 size. R&R's are priced at 6300, while the other two are 9500+. I'm just looking for a basic trailer for the time being, and I'm wondering if there is any reason for the low price tag on the R&R. If anyone has one can you comment on it as far as quality, durability, etc. I'm very interested in these trailers for the nice price tag.

Thanks

I purchased a 7x18+V Nashcar this spring. I plan on using it as a camper for Sturgis and such so it has the camper door, 2 windows, 16" on center studs, aluminum wheels and finished interior. I paid well under 8k out the door. I am curious where you found a 22' for 9k+? That seems high.

I really like it. Its light and pulls really nice with my 1/2 ton. I looked for about 2 years before purchasing. I looked at just about all of the manufactures. Its not that Nashcar stood out above all of the rest but it was already sitting on the lot and had what I was looking for for a fair price. I did notice alot of little things over the 2 years on where the others cut corners to save a couple of bucks. Just look at them really good and you will see the little things like doors not sealing all the way around.

Good luck with your purchase.

Steve at Nashcar gave me that price. Said it was below dealer price on a lightly used 7X24 aerostar. I know its a 24 not a 22 but its below dealer price being used twice.

I went with an R&R back in December of 09. Picked it up New years eve from the factory. When I ordered mine they didn't have the slasher. All R&R base models were the same at that point and then you opt it out as you go. I opted for a Roof vent, Fuel Doors, Camper style door that opens from inside or outside, and finished white interior. This was the same trailer as the most deluxe one they made minus some options. I paid $8200 with tax and everything.

I have been very happy with the trailer. I pulls great. I have added some storage accessories inside after I owned a little while. The trailer pulls real nice. No complaints.
