favorite track length & why ?

i have had alot of lenghts but i really like the 159's cuz you rarely get stuck.....i guess its personal preference some people say thats too long and heavy....

I believe a 151-155 is the best compromise but it depends how often you ride, who you ride with and how much challenge you want. A wise person once said "you're not having fun unless you're getting stuck". Of course, there are limits to that saying. A number of years ago on 136's, our group of 4 riders got stuck 30-40 times one day in deep pow (one newbie too). That day we all would have liked at least a 159.

2nd year now on 162 and I love it. I rode a 144 for 2 years, and I love the traction of the 162.
I saw a guy the other day that had a 2008 XP with a 174 track, looked awesome.

144x2x15 is a great all around track and probably my overall favorite, but the 151x2.3x16 is great on the deep pow days.

LOL wonder what he's got for clutching

I dont know but the guy makes his own drivers, extensions and alluminum wheels. I didnt see it run, it was sitting in his shop, christ it was long.

Yah I bet it did look good though  shoulda snapped a picture :(

Running a 144 x16x2.25 on my 07 X.Next sled will be a 155 ish .The 144's easier to turn in the trees in my opinion.Of course on those really deep days I'd like a longer track but I don't think I get stuck too much?

The 162-166 inch tracts make you feel like your driving a Bus.
Depends on who's driving the Bus. A pathetic rider can't handle a 162" Boondocking. If you do a lot of cornice, cliff, drift... jumping I'd pick 151. For Mountain Powder 162" is what I like. Also smooth on the trail ride out.... Personal Preferance I guess.

1000 with 162"

Just make sure your pointed in the right direction, cause she won't stop till your scared lol . I only weight 145# bit hard for me to manuver but lots of fun! Also have an 800r with 151 I find it alot easier to control but the 1000 gets alot more adreneline flowing.

been on a 159 for the last three years. too bad doo doesnt make it anymore. The 154 would be the way to go now. 163 is just too long for me. I like airing it out a little. and a 163 aint for that.
