I did it starting back in 07 with both the skid and front shocks. If you weigh more than a buck O 5 it's a must. I would suggest calling Curt and you may decide to bring him your entire skid and see if some of his other tricks are to your liking. Good luck. EW
I'm about 185 geared up the way I ride. I have heavier springs for this winter, so it's going to be stiffer. But I figure the shocks should maybe be worked on as well to match a bit. As they didn't seem to be doing much last winter. Junk in stock form.
Bringing him my whole skid would be a bit costly. I'm 14 hours north of the boarder. The only reason I'm thinking of going with Curt is because of all the rave reviews I am hearing about his work. Just haven't heard much on his valving. Anybody know what his turn around time is like? I would have a lot of time in transit so the faster he gets them done the better.

Unless you are going to have some geometry change, just send them your shocks. He will ask what all the particulars are, rider weight, style, sled mods etc.
Curt and Justin at FTX have build, revalved and changed geometry on many of my sleds. M-10's and OE's. I have never been unhappy. I did spend a day on their Turbo D8 that had his secret sauce in the Zbroz I have never ridden a more dialed in sled. Power, response, plush in the bumps, chassis response on the hill etc. I was going to buy this sled from them at the end of the season, but forum user R_8_N (Darrin) beat me to it.
There is a reason FTX loves the Zbroz. The same reason the Zbroz is not cheap. The are worth every penny, then throw in a master skid tuners like Curt and Justin, you can't go wrong.
Yes, I have an opinion on the skid work they do. I have valved my own and some Iron Dog guys stuff back in the 90's when Fox was the only thing going in AK. My ego told me I had this shock thing dialed...... until I met Curt......
