Fastlane Side Vents

Just order a pair for my sled.

A few riding buddies have them on their M's, no complaints from them just praise. I have never heard anything bad about them.

No problem at all, rode some really deep cold snow last year and they worked awesome, will be puttin them on my new sled

When you buy these vents from fastlane, do they already come setup on side panals, or do you have to drill your stock panals because Id rather buy a set already on side panals and save my stock ones.

No they don't come already on the panels and I don't know of anywhere that does that either. Sorry

Did order my vents in the begining of march, but haven't heard anything from them, no tracking nr. and no response on email..? Are they still in business?

if you haven't received them they didn't get the order because they ship the same day or the next day give eric or troy a call they will make it right

I wish that the venting material was glued onto it's frame, so it won't bulge in when you get snow pressing on the vents...
I know I will reassemble my vents, and glue the mesh onto the frame..

I've got the Fastlane vents on both my M's. Both sets have holes in the vent on the right side(can side) from tipping the sled in pow. I contacted Troy eariler in the year about getting replacement filters but no response. IMO, a good product but not great. If I was purchasing I'd probably go with the Timbersled vents.

A) side panels don't come with them or they'd be 3 times the price.

B) use a hole saw - otherwise I would think tou would lose a lot of the rigidity of the panel.

C) I had a set on an M8 with a speedwerx can - can was not coated. 1/2 way thru the season it melted the mesh and warped the plastic frame. I have since ceramic coated the can so it stays cooler. It also quieted it down quite a bit.

D) check out these; they are more rigid , seems like more of a metallic mesh, much cleaner look , and I believe are much more durable. I bought two sets for my newer sleds and no issues. As a matter fact the Speedwerx can is on the sled with the new vents and no issues. 2COOL vents all the way!

I agree, 2 cool vents are the best out there. they actually have a metal frame, they frame is on the inside so you get a lot less or no snow buildup on the vents, and they are the strongest vents i have come across so far. They also have pre filter behind the rigid screens to keep all snow out.
