Fast way adventure pegs cleats?

What are the best cleats to use on the fast way adventure foot pegs? Mine came with a set of pointy spikes and a set of Allen screws and I was wondering which are better for the snow.

Allen dose not use the Allen screws. He uses the spikes.LOL
I like the spikes much better. They are less likely to ice up. The Allen screws build ice in the hex cavity.
If you feel the spikes are to sharp then zap them on a belt sander after you install them on to the pegs.

The spikes scare the piss out of me. I just imagine my knee or shin hitting them just right and the pain that goes along with that thought. But I would definitely agree with Allen that they get a lot more ice free grip.

foot pegs

I don't use the screws or spikes and have plenty of grip. Also, to stop ice build up I cut out most of the internal webbing and wrapped winter duct tape around the hinge area of the foot peg. Second year with this setup without ice buildup.

The Adventure peg was redesigned this year. They took away the webbing. They now only have 3 cross members with nothing connecting them. I have been running them and they work amazingly well, no snow or ice build up at all.
Falling off your peg and hitting your knee on the spikes sound like a bed thing that could happen but I have been running the spiked pegs for 5 years now and have never fallen on them. I would have to say that is a myth. Personally I would just run the spikes for the better performance and comfort that you get from them.

I really like the Fastway/ Promoto Billet products. They work extremely well and they support the snow bike industry.:thumb:
