To Be stuff flat out works!
I’ve ridden in ToBe gear for a few years now and it is top notch stuff. It always keeps me dry and it does not restrict movement at all while riding. When I’m snowmobiling, I’m never cold no matter what the air temp is, because I'm constantly moving. It’s great for the active rider and I always loved the gear for that, but I guess I didn’t fully appreciate it until now..
the real reason for this post....that scenario and the use of my riding gear has change.....
I have been riding my motorcycle [cruiser w/ no windshield] to work most days for a month now and it hasn't been very warm yet. It's been 32-39 degrees at five in the morning, it takes a 1/2 hour trip screaming down the road at 70-75 mph to get to work. Any little gap in my armor and the cold seeps in and makes the trip misery. I tried many different clothes combinations and sometimes looked like the little kid from the movie “Christmas Story”.
I tried my leather motorcycle gear with thick hoody and sweat pants under then and I still froze my marbles off. I almost gave up riding this early in the season. I'd get half way to work and I was saying "uncle" .....by the time I got to work, I would look like Charleston Heston clinking to his rifle!
I said screw it, put on my snowmobiling gear ........ToBe gear jacket and pants.
along with just the hoodie underneath and HOLY BUCKETS. What a difference!
the lycra cuffs and velcro closures sealed the arm sleeves up. That is a life saver right there. That is a KILLER feature… no more air creeping in! The integrated hood keeps the wind from getting to the back side of my neck. The sealed seems keep the cold wind out, the pants are long enough to cover the ankles and roomy enough to sit comfortably. the way the elastic cuffs on the jacket and pants have the inlayed rubber strips the pants and jacket never creep up [or down In the case of the pants]
I cant say enough about this gear and Josh is a TOP Notch guy.
Thanks man
