Fairview Shoot Out Dates

Didnt now doc zoom was the new farview shootout orgainzer, nothing personal greg but 95 percent of the people that have been showing up for the last 20 years at fairview now its the weekend after jackson, conferance weekend. They dont all get on the snowest to read about it sorry you wont be able to be in both places at once to make your videos, dont get me wrong would be nice to have it that weekend but its tough to change a 20 year tradition.
Yeah, same kinda thinkin here? Its always been the weekend after jackson, And for people like myself who travel 700 miles to go I want the most people there that can be, not a bunch of confused people who didnt know if it "officially" was moved or not?
And besides, who goes to the yammifest and fairview in the same year??? Usually one or the other! I dont think that the people who will be at yammifest will be driving what 20-30 hrs to go to the fairview shootout anyway...

It has to stay as the week after Jackson. Yamafest should pick another weekend, I hear theres an opening on the weekend that used to host the big dawg

Well I am down for either weekend however, it seems like the last few years that weekend has been crapy weather and the weekend after that has been spectacular. Last year we had about 2 feet of fresh snow the weekend after the shootout. Would have been fun to see the turbos actually race in some fresh snow instead of that hard crap we get every year. Hopefully this year will be different.

pretty sure the yamafest boys are there to climb chutes anyway, so even if its the same weekend its kinda a different crew of people anyway is it not....

Fellow SnoWester’s, unfortunately this year Christmas falls on a Friday and I have a previous engagement, due to this unforeseen conflict we will be moving Christmas to the 26th please spread the word.

You would think those puting on Yamafest would have enough sense to not put it during the same time as Fairview. I mean I can see the mistake since Fairview has only been going on the same weekend for 20ish years......
