Fairview questions

First off, is there much snow there right now? I did a few trips down there over the summer, and it looked like a fun place to take the sleds. Does anyone have any links to cabins rentals in that area? I'm not looking for directions to your favorite spot, and but what's the riding like down there? Thanks for any info!

Aint no snow down here yet. Cabin rentals....um, there are some turkey sheds you could prolly crash in if the farmers don't mind =D There is a motel in Fairview and Mount Pleasant and there are multiple riding areas.

You can go here and request a free map that will show you where all the decent riding is and where the "off limits" areas are.

Thanks! I have the map, but haven't studied it yet. I've been on most of the main roads from Ephraim, Orangeville, millsite, Scofield, miller flats, Joes, potters, and skyline drive. Anything you can expand on as off limits? Is the atv trail that runs from skyline to Joes open in the winter? Is the plenty of parking, or do you have get there early? Cabin links in any of the areas I mentioned would be appreciated. Thanks again.

I don't know of any cabin rentals in the area, your best bet may be to check ksl classifieds and see if anyone rents out there cabins.

there is usually plenty of parking, there are three main parking areas. You can park at the first top (by the turnoff to scofield), or you can continue to the summit and park in one of the two parking lots at the "big drift", or you can continue down the road to the Miller's flat parking lot.

If you want to ride the trail, your best bet is to park at Miller's flat and ride south along the road/groomed trail and hit the play areas off the trail. I've never ridden all the way to Joe's Valley, but you can ride a long way to the south.

If you park at the Big Drift parking lots, you can bowl hope as far as the eye can see all the way south and end up above Ephraim canyon........depending on how much boost you have anyway, otherwise you can go around the bowls.

Oh ya....and don't listen to sledswest, all he knows how to do is find buried rocks. ;)

I saw sledswests post tonight about tunnel stiffeners. Bent an a-arm myself riding in monte the other day. Holz doesn't open until Monday, so so I think I'm out till then. Bowl hopping sounds cool, and but I don't have boost. Drove from potters to skyline to get out one weekend last summer. Amazing country! Hope you guys have a great season, and thanks for the talk.

You don't need boost to bowl hop to the south.......but if you want to bowl hop all the way to Ephraim canyon you will need it.

Also, for cabin rentals you may want to search for cabins in Fairview Lakes, Gooseberry Estates, or Aspen Hills. Those places will offer the best access to terrain out the door.

We have a cabin in the Gooseberry Estates and I have heard(not seen for myself) that the snow is low enough that people are still driving trucks in to the lower cabins. We actually cancelled our ride over the holidays. Not worth the time or potential for broken sleds. We need some big storms to fall!

I don't know of anyone renting in the association right now but I can try and find out.

THINK SNOW!
