Hi all,
So we have an odd issue with an '03 FI F7 that I can't sort out. PTO Spark went away, leaving the sled running on one jug. ONLY the PTO side, the other jug was fine. We figured it was a bad wire or spark plug boot. This was confirmed when we swapped coils with a different sled and the problem went to the new sled with the "bad" coil.
So we swapped coils with a known good coil on a different sled while a new one was in the mail. The new coil worked, with the F7 running like a top on both jugs.
But 20 miles down the trail, same exact problem. The PTO-side had no spark while the other one did have spark.
So any ideas what would cause two different coils to fail on the same, and only one, jug within 20 miles of one another? A total failure of spark is explainable, but not sure why it's failing on only a single jug?
