failed weld on 2013 at the swing arm mount

My mountain horse today broke in half. The weld on the coller that attaches the frame art the swing arm mount gave out today. Really sucks. The whole track tilted a few degrees to the left the bolt is fine the rear frame just fell off. I was able to limp back to trail head. But now what damn.

Was the failed component due to a crack caused by a side load (getting stuck and pulling the bike sideways with out clearing the track ) I have seen this known area to crack a few times high stress when side loaded , always do a quick inspection with a bright light when your doing maintenance .

My sons broke last year and as it turned out it was only welded on one side. Welder forgot to turn it over and weld the other side. I checked mine over before I installed it and it LOOKED like they increased the weld material on the 14's. one thing is they WILL take care of you. Sucks when that happens but at least you could ride yours out. Good luck, let us know what happened

No side load. About two miles of snow covered road then broke no bumps jumps or anything.
