This is my 4th year on Snowbikes and I've never really had a hard time bleeding the brakes, minus round one. I wanted to post what I found worked really well for me. I took it slowly the other day and from a totally dry system. I had it bled in 5 min with no mess and no fuss.
Parts need:
1/8th Clear Plastic Tubing, 2' Long
Large Syringe
Small Vice Grips
Medium Long Flat Blade Screw Driver.
I start by opening up the master cylinder and sucking out all the fluid with the Syringe
Attach the tubing to the syringe, press on tightly! and fill the syringe about half full of brake fluid.
Using the Vice Grips clap the other end of the tubing on to the brake bleeder screw. try and grip some of the hex on the bleeder screw (saves having to use a ¼ wrench)
Using the flat blade screwdriver. pry the left side pad back as far as you can, compressing the piston. Do this gently as you can mar up the pad surface.
Open the bleeder, what for the larger bubbles to make their way up to the syringe. Keep the syringe above the rear fender of the bike. you'll need to be able see the master reservoir.
Compress the syringe until the the reservoir is full. Tapp the break line with your finger while doing this.
Start pumping the break quickly with a flicking motion (the vibration helps break air bubbles lose) When the fluid level is nearly empty stop, repeat the compression of the syringe again. then flick the break lever again until the reservoir is empty (make sure to not suck air in)
When you compress the syringe and stop getting air coming back into the reservoir you're done. Remove the screwdriver on the pad and pump the brakes, if you got all the air out she will quickly build pressure as soon as the cylinder is pushed back out.
If its still mush, do it again. Has worked every time for me without fail.
