Faded Seat! +[

Ok so i have a boss seat on my sled and its a really nice and expensive seat right. so this summer i had alot of stuff come up and i absolutly forgot about my sled that was outside. so the seat was origionaly black. and now its really faded. so i was wondering if theres anything you can do to get the seat back to its old color again??

I had the same problem. took my sled to the dealer for some warranty work at the end of the season and since it was the end of the season they took their time getting to it. well after a month and a half they finally call and say it's finished. when I get in there the next day to pick it up it's covered with dirt and they had stored it outside in their junk pile. needless to say the seat was really faded (on one side so it didn't even match) and to top it off they didn't fix a d*mn thing:mad:. anyhow I did a bunch of checking around I went to a fabric store and picked up a can of spray on black dye. sprayed it on halfway through the summer and it looks a ton better. I hope to get up on the hill and see if it's going to stay put. The lady at the store said she didn't think it would come off but I guess we'll see. hope this helps, good luck

Spray Dye

I've used it a couple of times on my Boss seat. Usually do it once a year before we get started. Works real well but it will rub off a bit where the inside of your legs rub but well worth it. Just mask of the vinyl and zipper pulls and go for it.

There was a thread on here last season about a product that turns faded fabric black that works great for boss seats. It was UV activated so it wouldnt fade again too. Try doing a search on it.

This isn't the best quality picture but, this seat was basically faded to a purplish color before and now it's back to black with the fabric spray.

Duplicolor makes a vinal and fabric paint that works well. My seat used to be light brown now it's back to original.

i used this same paint and it worked greaton my boss seat, i also used in on my side panel vents after i scrubed a tree and they came out back again
