So ha anyone tried to or warrentied something in these with aftermarket stuff and if so what was the response. What happens when it goes in for something do they check ECU or just look at it? I figured I'd save my factory tubes BRV and can incase something happens but curious if they actually scan ECU

If you done anything to the ecu they can tell! Best to have two ecu's one stock and another modded if your worried about warranty. BTW nobody here gives a poop about there warranty they want big hp and a nimble moving heavy cat.

If you want factory warranty, leave the machine stock. The manufacturers warranty should cover the machine they built, not something that has been modified. Fraudulant warranty claims end up costing all of us $$$ in the long run in the way of higher prices for sleds and parts.

It will depend on your dealer and what you have modified and what your problem was.

The dealer has almost no choice, if the sled is modified at all the engine warranty is null and void. The factory must have an ecu download sent to them before any engine warranty work will be approved. If the ecu has been flashed, its instant void of the powertrain warranty.

The factory will also void the engine warranty for any aftermarket exhaust part, that is reported to them.

Yeah anyone modding the engine/ECU and expecting that warranty should cover their changes to AC's design and parameters should give their head a shake. Like was said above, it costs us all in the long run. I've got a year of warranty on my M1100T. After that is up I'm gonna EVO the sh1t out of my M, but until then, stock engine/ECU and enjoy what I've got. I think they've got more than enough power for 95% of what I ride. I'm not a chute climber though.

The 1100's and cat 800's are great engines so it's harder for Cat dealers to mislead Cat on warranty claims. Polaris and Ski Doo on the other hand are going through top ends and cranks, respectively, like candy so those dealers can throw whatever warranty claims to their head offices and they are like, "looks like another one blew up again. Oh well, give'em a new engine......again." LOL!!! Oh no I didn't LOL!!! Here we go bahahahah!!!

Ski Doo/Polaris guys reading this....it's all in good fun, that's all:)
