Ive got a 99 F350 with stock 265/75/16 tires & want to upgrade 1 size to a 285/75/16. Anybody done this size up & have issues parking in a garage with a 7' tall door or do the tire hit the backs of the fenders when turned fully to the left or right? Im concerned with clearance issues if I go 1 size up. My old dodge had them with no issues but I have heard problems with them on Fords. Any advise?? Looking at Cooper ATR's & BF All Terrains both in E load rating. Thanks.

I have a 99 SD and have been running 295/75-16's BFG's on it since new on 10" wide Centerline wheels. When I bought the truck (used in 1999) they would rub on the front of the running boards so I massaged the tubes with a sledgehammer and they've never rubbed again. Mine has the tall 4" rear blocks and therefore had too much rake for my taste so I lifted the front with an add-a-leaf so mine is a little taller than stock but goes through my 7' garage door no problem. It makes me pucker every time I drive in a 7' parking garage but has never hit. The new style BFG A/T TKO's wear out much faster than the old BFG A/T's though so next time I may try a different tire. Pics below will give you an idea of the look but sorry I do not have any good truck only or front tire clearance pics.

I've got 295/75/16s on stock wheels on my 02 F250. The truck is 6'10" at stock ride height. There is minor rubbing on the driver side mudflap, but only at full lock.

This set of AT KOs has 65k miles on them and there is another 15k left if you were to run them in summer only.

285s rub ever so slighty with the wheels turned if you hit a bump. I had 305/70 16s on mine and they rubbed a bit while turning sharp but I wore that set out without wrecking any thing. 285s work real well.
