F.Y.I ON REPLATING

I just called to check on my mono block to see when it will arrive and they said it will be shipped out today . I asked the guy about the work that was done and he said it was stripped and reniked no welding. So I asked about the crack in the intake port nope did not do any welding on them. Lucky they have not been shipped yet so he went and retrieved the box and guess what it is cracked . So back they go, I even filled out a work order and explained what needed to be done . When asked what happened they said they would get to the bottom of it . So for you guys that have sent out cylinders you better call and make sure that they have someone that can read do the work.

We had a huge run around on a cylinder we got done. 1 min it was getting ready to ship next minute the skirt was broke when they received it .WTF so they charged him 800 buck to fix it was a big bore so didn't really have a chose.

No-- we are sorry that this happened and will make it right. He could not explain how it got thru 3 different inspection.
If I need to have a cylinder replated again it will go some where else .

shouldnt have happened everyone screws up now and then but it did. I have had a few re-nic's done by millenium and it needed welding up big bore cyl.
they were extremely quick
try calling the place in quebec if you have problems or wanna give instructions.... hope you can speak french so you understand because i sure couldnt.

I had the same deal two years ago with millenium on my dragon monoblock. Sent it back and they said wasn't there before, tough luck! Needless to say I went to US chrome for the next mono.

US chrome is who I would recommend. My company used to be the # 1 seller of Millenium cylinders for use in Harley Davidson Sportsters. We had such a high failure rate with the plating that it almost put us out of business.

I had a problem on a 700 cylinder they did for me when I asked them about it they said they had very stringent QC department and there was no way it could be their fault .
I will be checking it over when I receive it .

I highly doubt that they would dare to bull @#$% a highly respected engine builder like Indy. That would not fair well for them!!

Mono block gets shipped today . It cost me $446 I guess that's a good deal considering they did them twice . Never once did they say they were sorry or lets us make it right . I do not think I am being unreasonable there is no excuse for what happened. It seems to be the norm these days with company's.
If I run into a situation where I need something replated I will be trying US Chrome .

I see that US Chrome has 4 or 5 location is one better then the other to use?

I do not know have never done business with them. I think pms uses them.

They probably know him, so yes, I would agree. Where does that leave us?

Either they just goof it once in a while or they sell with a different service/quality depending on who the buyer is??
