Whats the difference between the 800 VES cylinders #202 and #339? Is it the decompression hole or are there other differences?

I ask because I just realized the cylinder I bought on ebay (#339 cast) has had porting work done to it while my other cylinder does not, and I'm not really looking for a setup that needs frequent tuning or race gas (no porting). The motor is a 2004 800 VES running SLP twins with the decomp hole welded.
