I ripped up the toes in my Klim boots last year kicking the snow out of my XP running boards....thinking of going with some Better Boards this season. Can somebody please post a PIC of a set, I'd like to see what they look like before I drop $200++ for a set.

Anybody run them on an XP last season....pros/cons?

Thanks--

I found this picture while looking doing a search... I have a set sitting here at home waiting for my sled to get in... Hopefully next week...

I ran the boards on the XP last year, and loved them. I'll take a picture tonight, if nobody's posted one yet. I've had them on my last 2 sleds. They do make the running boards a little stiffer, and alot less snow build up. Basically they do what they were designed to do.

Those SE's don't even FIT in the footwell nor do they match the stock design pattern! Do you really want to cut up your $10,000 sled and put something like those on? My best selling tool at SLC was sending customers around the corner to look at that THING!

You are absolutely right that Better Boards for the XP cost more. When you are comparing natural aluminum to natural aluminum the SE's sell for $139 and we sell the Better Boards for $182. Based on what I saw installed in that blue SLP XP that will be the best additional $43 ever spent on your XP!

Better Boards ARE THE ONLY MANUFACTURER OFFERING COATED BOARDS. Now having ridden and tested both I personally would only own coated boards of any of the varieties because they work so much better. Our proprietory coating outperformed plastic in lab snow/ice adhesion but the added benefit is they are actually structural as well. HOW CAN YOU BEAT THAT? You can't and its the reason why we sell 10 times all of the others combined.

“the bitterness of poor quality remains long after the sweetness of a good price is forgotten”.

You just spent 10K on a sled and you are going to skimp on 40 bucks???

I just got my Boards installed Rob.

THanks they look GREAT!!!

has anyone done a side by side comparison with Better Boards and Snow Eliminators?

I had the Snow Eliminators on my M and my buddy has the Snow Eliminators on his Rev.

I have the Better Boards waiting to be installed on my new XP (not yet here).

Without riding with them yet, the Better Boards come up the side of the tunnel quite a bit more (I would think this adds to the structural integrity of the system and makes them easier to install as the rivet gun doesn't have to be so tight to the running board).

As far as feel on the grips and the windows are I would say they are pretty comparable between the two.

Thanks Johnny!

when comparing.....

You always must remember when considering Better Boards that EACH model is independantly designed for that chassis. We have over 16 models plus custom applications. One design or concept doesn't necessarily work for another. This is just another of the many reasons Better Boards are superior to any other product out there.

WE RIDE SLEDS..DAY IN DAY OUT...IN THE ENVIRONMENT...AND THEN DESIGN AND APPLICATE A RUNNING BOARD INSERT THAT BEST PERFORMS WITH THAT PARTICULAR SLED'S DESIGN PARAMETERS.

When discussing look..IE fit and finish please shoot us a photo for the front footwell.

Better board are a better product. I ran the SE on my m 1000 Still have issues in the foot wells. Better boards look like they address that issue. Rob knows what he speaks!
