Ezjacker 1.0 Clutching

Interested to here what setups people are running and how it is working. I jsut got the ezjacker and I need a setup and BD didn't have any info for me. . . None. . . They said stock clutching should work. . . I do not know how though as I am against the rev limiter even with just my high flow can. . . before adding the ezjacker.

I believe you mean 1.9? I would call D & D but I would try D & D T1 92-93 gr weights, white or tan D & D primary spring, stock secondary. I'm sure Dalton could recommend something too. Disconnect the TPS if the 1.9 has it? I'm running 2.0 with D & D T1 95-98 gr weights, tan D & D primary spring, stock secondary, tps disconnected and still hits the rev limiter (8350) :( . Will do the booster in the summer and lets hope for a bigger turbo cartilage. Sled needs lots of weight to stay off the rev limiter.

I have the 2.0 and was woundering what you mean by disconect the TPS what does that do and were do you disconect it.

I think its called the throttle position sensor (TPS), but what it does is relates achievable boost to throttle position. So at half throttle only 50% of achievable boost is what the sled is at with full throttle being 100% of what ever boost you have the box set at. As for disabling not sure how to due that but TPS is programmed into the 2.0 hijacker box not sure if the 1.9 ezjacker has TPS.

I talked to D&D today and they said with a can and the ez-jacker they recomend their T1 turbo weights and the white primary spring. So i guess ill order and try.......

I didn't like the thottle response when using heaver weights. As 3514 stated your 100% boost at partial throttle. Until I get the booster flash I think this helps. Just plug the stock TPS back in and attach the 2.0 TPS ends together.

I agree, Lighter more agressive weights will make the sled revvier on the bottom. Heavy weights make it feel lazy down low. The engine has such a torque curve we can get away with it and not have it be horrible but heavy weights in the mountains are not the answer in my opinion. You have to remember that d&d is new york and mainly concentrated on going fast. They are a good company but just looking for a different outcome.

I went with a lighter spring in the primary(A/C purple) and three grams more weight. Mid range and bottom end are same as before. Now I'm not hitting rev limiter.

So what your saying is dont use the t1turbo weights? What are you using that you find works well? Im heading out in a couple weeks to the snowies and dont want to have problems Thanks

I think it will make the sled lazy when not on boost. . . Talk a a ice drag racer once and figure out how he wants to clutch the sled. He doesn't want to even be able to spin off the line. Pretty much wants to roll into boost. We want boost here and now. IMO. I have not clutched mine yet. I think I am going to end up buying some weights.

ran all weekend, EZ Jacker installed (still stock can) peak RPM was 8050....will install can, and then get a clutch kit from RacinStation...

Sled is nowhere near snappy/torquey off the line...Needs a much more aggressive weight profile IMHO, but agree with not wanting to just throw weight at this thing...

My old T-Nytro had incredible torque right off the bat....that is what I am going after...

The clutch kit from racinstation is likely going to be the same one I am going with. MDS weights. I think the can will make you much happier as well.

Also check all your clamps, hoses, etc. I would think you would be over 8050 rpm easily with the ezjacker. I was hitting 8300 with just a high flow can.

I let Steve at MDS use my sled to come up with the weight setup on the 1100t's, if you call Steve he will sell you the setup I have, and the nice thing about his weights is you can add weight to them or take some off. I do know that with just a can on my sled it is night and day better all around, but off the line is now unbelievably better compared to stock!!! The thing jumps off the line!!! Steve also claims he got 15 more h.p with his weights off the track and I can totally tell also!!! By far the best thing that's been done to the sled, and if they don't work out for ya then send em back and he'll refund you... No questions asked!
