Ez-ryde or Mountain Tamer?

ez ryde in stock form or with a set of exit shocks from zbroz!

The timber doesnt ride near as good, and you could sell your rmk skid for a few dollars to help pay for the skid upgrade!

My understanding is that the E-Z is tough to get dialed but fantastic once it is, if it's good enough for Chris Burandt, welll... On the other hand I've had two Timbersled Mt. tamer on three different sleds (all A/Cs) and it is better than OEM and lighter w/o breaking the bank. Also it is plenty tough, I was worried about breaking it but it has held up well. If money was of no object I'd go w/the E-Z, but in the real world I compromise.

I don't know what your budget is, but the Mt Tamer will be a lot cheaper. I haven't found a EZ under $2400. There are reps on this 4M that sell the Mt Tamer for $1500.

You will not find a better performing skid than an Ez-Ryde. Thats all a guy can say. Hands down, AMAZEING ride.

not for me it wasnt. I have never messed with it other than makeing it stiffer and messing with track tension.

Have heard E-Z Ride is the awesome and they look like they are the sh*t but for the price you can't go wrong with Timbersled. There are a handfull of pro riders on timbersled set ups so the skids have obviously been put through the paces. Also Timbersled is a great company that takes care of their customers and thats worth a lot on its own. After installing my timbersled skid I had it dailed in after a day of riding and noticed an increased ride down the trail, was smooth in the whoops and the harder you hit them the softer they got. I also noticed an immediate improvement in climbing and deep snow performance. My sled stop trenching and popped up and ontop of the snow better than ever.

So you liked your mtn. tamer, I've heard that they liked to wheelie alot. How did it climb? better than stock?

I don't think it wheelies any more than stock, and it is easy to adjust the coupling-engagement timing, so you can choose ride height and when it will engage the coupling. But all around I'd say it is better than stock, much cleaner too, also I hate the way the OEM floats sag so much, the Mt.T. does have any sag-in.

I have ez-ryde buddy has one on assault turbo, hands down the best. Another buddy has timber on an m1000, he weighs 260, if he has it set up to ride decent it sucks in powder, if he has it to run the deep it rides like a factory rig (rough). Ez-ryde best of both, once you ride one you will know.

I installed mine same day as buddy did timber, I was done in an hour took him 4 because he had to use factory rails. Ez-ryde comes with everything you need. Just pull out old, rivet in some fish plates, punch some holes and bolt up.

Want to sell it is sled real easy to go back to stock and move suspension to new sled.

Hope this helps.

Thanks for the input guys, I think after you buy the mnt. tamer arms and then buy the rails your going to be only about 3 or 4 hundred away from the ez-ryde. I think that the ez-ryde is the package to get, THANKS again for all the comments.

I have an EZ-Ryde on a TM7 and so far it seems to be awsome. I only have 4 rides on it but it rides good down the trail and keeps the front down climbing on hard pack and in the powder. I set it up to the recomended settings per Christan at Ez-Ryde and haven't touched it since. Great customer service as well.
