Anyone have an EZ-Lynk setup and an older XM sled they could test?
I reached out to the EZ-Lynk folks to see if the Ski Doo cables would work to read the older XM (in my case 2013) check engine light codes. They haven't tested that far back, just the G4 and G5 BRP sleds. Since I'm a good 5 hours from the closest snowmobile dealer I figured I'd see if anyone's already had success before I venture into the unknown.
Reason for asking is our old workhorse 2013 Summit XM 800 etec. Over the last few weekends I've installed a new in line fuel filter, new plugs (properly indexed), fresh fuel (x2 tanks), and a new EGT dual sensor module. When it happens its almost always at low to mid speed, constant throttle (like following someone on the trail) and the sled will all of a sudden flash the CEL, burbles down to an idle, and dies. Then when I start it back up the CEL is off and it runs normal for a few more miles before it happens again. I've tried the manual hold down the "M" button + high/low beam flash but it won't pull up the code. Happy to hear any ideas...
