Extra Tank - Canadian Rules

Our group is from Montana and headed up to Revy late January. One of the guys from our group is saying that accessory tanks or an extra tank on the tunnel is prohibited. Is this true or are we hangin' with guy who's afraid to go more than a tank full?

You mean packing a gas can on the back? I've never heard of anyone gettin trouble over packing gas. Just make sure you have a proper DOT gas can.

The only fuel restriction I've seen is if you are travelling on any of the BC Ferries. www.bcferries.com You won't need to take a ferry to get to Revelstoke.

Beg to differ on won't need to take ferries...
But if you do they will check even if empty they will only allow 1-5 gallon per vehicle

There are areas with "no gas cans beyond this point" restrictions (Forester near Radium is one) where they ask you to leave your spare cans before you enter the alpine, but I can't think of an area near Revy with any restrictions.

u may run into problems if u r hauling ur sled on an open trailer or deck if the can isnt secured properly to ur sled example bungee cords rope etc they r getting sticky with that stuff somtimes if u run into a dot/sheriff money grab blitz but i think they only do them in the summer too cold this time of year
