i put the frog skins over the other 4 vents in the hood that aren't already covered. They should work good. It looks like a fair bit of snow could come in those vents and cause some drama with your clutches. I had to move the all mighty 800 decal towards the nose a bit and it covered part of the stock decal. Minor if they work.

I hope they don't slow down any hot air trapped under the hood.

I got the nose ones, and looking for the top ones right now. I got slp pre-filter in all the rest. A little custom gorilla glue, and it works well.

I have some prefilter kicking around. Where would be the best place to put in some vents? I was thinking on the dash???

The dash is a great place to put vents because hot air rises and thats the highest spot on the sled. You could also look into a gage cage from either wildchild or AMP that would vent the dash as well as reposition the guage so that you can see it standing up. Thats what im going to do.

I put the pre-filter in all the existing vents. I got the amp gauge cage, side vents, and two vents in each shock tower. I'm going to put some kind of vents in the sides of cowling, just don't know yet what kind.

Im not a fan of putting the pre filter material on if your not getting a bunch of snow in though the vents. I run them on the bottom vents cause they do let a bunch in but the others dont. The pre filter material will almost completly block the air flow though that vent. If you dont belive me just put your hand on the other side and blow on the material, i garrante that you wont feel a bit of breeze. I put some vents on either side of the speedo and used some steal screen simular to what cat uses form factory, this will allow 100 times more heat out, and i havent had any problems with snow ingestion.

CPC has Frogzskin vents for most every hole on the hood.

Will these work on a 05 hood? They changed the size of the 4 holes at the very front of the hood in 06 or 07 not sure what year.

Yes they will fit the '05 nose holes. I put some on my M6.

Is there a frogskin vent for this hole. Or if not does anybody make a vent for this hole. Please post a link to the site if you know where to get one.

Just noticed on my 2010 m8, if looking at sled from the front, the top vent on the left side has no screen whatsover in it. Is it just mine or is everyone elses like this? My 09 had a screen there. Whats that all about ???

The 2010's didn't come with a screen on the left side.

And Jensen...those were the holes I was refering to in the first post. If you put frogskins on them, make sure you start on the straight side and really push the corners in. The rest just falls nicely into place.

Has anyone else noticed that the 2010 m6 has a fine mesh frogskin and the rest of the 2010's have a coarse mesh which is what u get when you buy the kit from cat. if you want the fine you can order them off of the m6 but they are a little higher priced.
