extra exhaust spring? 04 800ho highmark extreme

nearly finished putting my sled back together after putting a top end in it. one issue: I've got an extra exhaust spring. the full size normal ones....

ive got two holding the stock can down, two holding the pipe to the can, four holding the pipe to the motor, and one on the inside of the curve of the pipe in the middle.


this is all the shop manual shows for fullsize springs. if I remember right (took it apart a week ago, took lots of pics and of course didn't take enough of exhaust springs) it was right in the middle on the same hook as the center one. could it have been put on as an extra? is there anywhere else on the sled I could have taken a full size spring off at?

Thats all the springs i have on my 04 rev. Maby it was added as an extra just in case u broke one you would have an extra. ????????

Did you just add the can, because there are 3 springs to hold the stock suitcase on??

btw, I always put 2 extras on the Y pipe to motor just for added strength.

wait 3? thats my missing one then. i only saw a spot for 2. but i put an slp can on now so i dont have to worry haha
