Extended Warranty??

Hello'
Got a 2018 G4 850 with the Skidoo with 3 year Skidoo warranty . Dealer wants to sell a seven year all inclusive warranty overlaying the factory 3 years. I buy way too much insurance and hate to add another largish pile of money-- up to a grand.
Any one have any experience with sticking with the Skidoo warranty or adding on the extra?

I had a buddy do an add-on non factory warranty. Had an issue with his sled and they did not want to cover calling it basic wear and tear. The engine had siezed up. Sure it had miles on it but to me a warranty is just that. Not sure how it unfolded to be honest but I wouldn't do it. If you do get it I would make sure it extends to new owner if you should sell.
How long do you plan on keeping the sled before upgrading?

My opinion is they are not offering it to you for your benefit. In the past, they don't cover consumables and have some sort of deductible. I wonder if the electrical system is covered.

Thanks for the replies. Its more insurance, and I am tired of buying insurance. I think I will pass.

This after market insurance is really getting nuts. Ebay offers extended warranties on $3 items. Can't any company build anything they will stand behind? (Klim, and a few others, excepted).

I agree with you. It is insurance, or as I like to say, a crap shoot.
