I am interested to convert my 2007 crossfire to either a 141 inch or 144 inch . I was wondering what some of the people have tried and works well. I am even considering 3.0 pitch conversion also. Does anyone have any Ideas?

i believe the tunnel on a crossfire is the same as a 141 M series sled. i bet you could fit a 144 in there without any tunnel extension needed. like speedracer said, call tracks usa. they have rail extensions for everything in every length.

I did a 144 to 151 convert last fall on a zx doo, I didnt need a tunnel ext with the big wheel kit on the back end and everything fit underneath just fine. If you are contemplating doing a 3 pitch job, go big while you have it apart. Good time to service the entire drive line and change out some key bearings if they are showing any kind of wear as well.

I recently converted a 06 Crossfire 7, to a 144" x 2" Camo Challenger. Easy install. The rail extentions from www.tracksusa.com were very nice. The only issue we encountered, is that when we bottomed the suspension in the shop, the paddles would just barely touch the cooler. We dropped the cooler and moved it back .75" with longer hoses. Stock bumper still fits.... barely.

thanks

Yeah I am just looking for a little longer for non extreme powder, just for michigan riding or spring hard set-up riding. I just have read some odd and end things some people have encountered with extending crossfires. Like the diamond drive rubs on the tracks. or people have shaved clips down and such

I have 07 cf 8 converted to m8 141 2.25 challenger track 8" wheels, avid offset 2 wheel axle, stock ac drivers off m8 bought off ebay, 09 tunnel kit, anti stab wheels very very nessary w/3 pitch track worked out well also modified hrp drop brackets more clearence.

Antistab wheels are very important. Mfire had to buy my track from me after running the rail into the track rod and ripped out the rod and a big chunk of the track. HAHA!!!!!!

thanks

Hey guys thanks for the good info , I guess I gotta decide if I want to go with a 3.0 pitch like my Mountain sled has or just put a simple kit from tracks usa on it.

Ole's rail extensions and a track and you're good to go.
