explorer gearing question

I picked up a wr450 with an explorer kit, I know not many are riding the explorer kit anymore and as soon as I can afford a timbersled I won't either. but I figured I may as well make the best of it while I have it. When riding I am maxed out in second gear but 3rd is just a bit too high and bogs. I was thinking of changing the front sprocket. My question is should I go down to a 12 tooth and hopefully be able to use 3rd or go up to a 14 and be able to stretch 2nd out a bit further? Also here's a couple of pictures of the gas carrier, gear carrier and relocated grab handle I made. The stock grab handle was worthless for getting unstuck you were underneath the fender and had no leverage.

If I were you, I'd get used to getting stuck and get used to pulling the bike out. Those kits are simply NOT good. The whole problem with them is the driver on the outside of the track. The faster you go, the more exponential the friction becomes from throwing yet another bend into the track.

With that said, just gear it down and get what you can out of it. It's simple enough to gear down. The chain won't see the load you see on dirt, so having a small front sprocket isnt' a really big deal.

ps. You should be looking for sleds to ride with, not snowbikers.. Just warning you now.

Thanks for the reply. I understand they are not good but it's ride what I have or don't ride i will get a timbersled when I can afford it. I have been stuck plenty lol that's why I relocated the handle back where you can get some leverage. Sleds are all I ride with anyways. Just trying to make it the best of the situation
