What do you do when you have 4” of new snow in over 2 weeks time……Explore! Thanks to near perfectly safe Avy conditions, snow coverage at lower elevations and some summertime recon we finally got into an couple area’s I’ve always wondered about sledding in for many years, One of which I am pretty sure no sled has gone before.
Enjoy the many pictures (sorry about the quality some are from a cell phone and the light was pretty bad).
Area #1
Friday….the wife was patient and tagged along…not a big area but rather extreme.
Area #2
Saturday…. At a rate of less than 1 mph (2 miles took us 3 hours to traverse) we found this great new un-ventured area here in northern Utah….Reeks with potential!
No more accessible trail to follow then an avalanche debris pile, truly awesome to explore the destruction from this powerful avalanche path. (must of come down sometime between Christmas and New Years)
Debris pile easily 50-80 feet deep here
Bush whacking it I guess you could say…….(No trees were fatally harmed during this ride)
A very small portion of this big area, to be continued….
Enjoy the many pictures (sorry about the quality some are from a cell phone and the light was pretty bad).
