Experience with used ATACC

Looking into buying a used ATACC for my Cat 03.5 1m 900. The unit was on a Ski Doo. When I mention this to Holtzman they suggest sending it in for a recalibration/rebuild first @ $50 and also buying a reinstallation kit for another $50. If I do that it's cheaper to buy a new one. Have any of you installed a used ATACC (changing brands on which it is installed) and had any issues?

I bought one new about 4 or 5 years ago for around $210 it worked flawless until last year. not sure what is wrong with it but I would defiantly do it again. As far a switching brands I do not know what the difference would be. We bought 2 of them for a poo 700 and a poo 800 and there was no difference.

if that is what holtzman says, that is what i would go with. i'm usually all about making things work but from my reading, research, and talking with holtzman directly the ATACC is pretty sensitive and needs to be installed precisely. i love mine, will never run a carb sled again without one, but everyone i've read says pretty much the same thing, follow the directions precisely. sounds like you will be ahead with getting a new one over the used one. no questions them. good luck

I say buy a brand new one. No sense in messing around on something as important as jetting.
