Hey guys so my friend got a 13 pro and purchased exit x1 shocks. we got the rear ones in fine but the front shock reseviors are turned from the upper mount. so in other words the resevoirs will hit the frt and back shock tower . it needs to be turned out but i dont know how.. I took the bearing out to see if it had a bolt but it dont. Tried turning it but its stiff and didnt wanna break it.

Yep, that'll do it. I have ZBroz X1s on my Backcountry X and ran into the same issue when installing mine. Swapped the shocks to the other side and they fit perfectly.

Just out of curiosity, where did you get your X1s from?

Good luck.

No if you swap it side to side it dont matter the eyelets are turned wrong. And out of a shop in edmonton. it aint my sled its a friends which is in my shop

I'm not sure why you have this issue either. I was thinking the same as LoudHandle and that you just got them backwards. Mine are fine on the front of my '13, but I use a '11/'12 setup with different a-arms for that length of shock. I did have to send my rear X1's back to Exit so they can re-clock the bodies to work in the '13 skid. They are great to work with so give them a call and they will set you up.

Yeah that's weird...sounds like you may need to give the shop a call. Hopefully it's possible to adjust them yourself. Otherwise you may need to send them back.

Good luck.

Front shocks

Pleas give us a call they should bolt up with out issue. I know they are clocked on the reseviour to fit into the upper arm at full bump. We use a large Resssy and it needs the clearance. I will attach a photo that might help you. Also if there were no instruction I'm surprised there should be a basic sheet to clarify that point. If they are clocked wrong you can fix it but you need to call so we can walk you through the correct process so you don't damage the shock.

The photo is of one of our non adjustable shocks but the clocking (forward) applies to the compression adjustable X1 fronts as well.

No the eyelets where off so it was assembled wrong. My friend sent them back you guys already! It kinda sucks now haha i got 3 sleds torn apart in my shop waiting on parts.

Is that possible to put the front shocks on the wrong side even with the reservior in the upper position? There is a right and a left shock?

Yeah they will install on ether side but the photo shows the correct angle. Basically it helps center the ressy in the upper A arm giving it more clearance at full bump so as to not damage the ressy.

Just to be on the safe side ... This is how it's supposed to be, right?
