Exhaust Valve Solenoid

When cleaning the exhaust valves should the solenoid & hoses be cleaned as well?
Picked up a used 14 pro 800 as a spare and the valves were pretty full of oil ... figuring that the hoses are likely full too ...
Anyone else clean the solenoid & hoses regularly?

Running the CFI2 since 10-11, and never jacked with the solenoids or their hoses. Never looked like an issue with their impulse design. Those plastic barbs on the sol's look mighty fragile, tho. Solenoid wires needed attention on the 11's, in particular. Middle school shop class dropouts did the wiring harnesses back then. Having extra VES cylinder gaskets around is always handy.
