Exhaust valve solenoid closed at idle

Having a bogging issue with my 2012 RMK Assault. 3/4 to wide open throttle, if I keep a steady throttle I get a bog. If I let off and get back into it, it's gone. I have gone over plugs, wires and caps. Just cleaned the exhaust valves and was checking that solenoid in the system. Started the sled with it plugged into electrical but hoses disconnected and and solenoid unbolted. It doesn't open when I start the sled up. Took the solenoid into the dealer to check it and all is good. Unhooked electrical and started it and there is power, tried to check ground but hard to do with a test light. If this solenoid is always closed, just like all these people plugging those hoses, could it cause this bog. And is this solenoid closed when at idle? Also I don't know but I have only noticed this bog at home (3000 feet), never happened on trips to the mountains (5-6000 feet) but I figure that could be from the fact that I might not be as steady on the throttle when I am there.

hey cowboy

the exh valve is normally closed till around 6800..

never checked if there is volts there at idle before, but yes they maybe switching the ground side to activate it.

Maybe clean exh valves they might be sticking..

So how much are you on the throttle at steady that you get this bog? 5% 10%

You can also tune it with a PC-V for the most performance!

The solenoid is closed not the exhaust valve. So it is not able to vent. So it is probably opening early. I do have a PCV, the bog is a 3/4 to wide open and happens maybe 10 sec after I hold it steady. Been switching around primary weights to no help. Just cleaned exhaust valves and went threw wires and caps. Also put a new set of plugs in. Just trying to cover the easy things before I take it in. It has a Bikeman 860 kit in it and they said these sleds after steady throttle they lean out and advance timing to get over emissions.

I guess that could be a reason for the bog but why is that solenoid closed at idle? Anyone out there that blocked off the hoses to the exhaust valve run into this issue? The sled runs great other than this. Pulls like crazy through the midrange, it does sometimes fluctuate rpm at the top. Then the bog if you steady out the throttle at the top.
