Exhaust Sensor Failure??? Why??

Does anyone know what the opposite end of the connector should read in OHM's or is that irrelevant. I am seeing 640. My sensor is reading 200 cold and when I heat it up with a torch it does get up past 450. I have been getting this code since I picked the sled up. Thanks.

wondering if anyone else is haveing trouble with these sensors i have burned up three already this year! I have had six fail since i have owned the sled.

My Question is does anyone know what causes these sensors to quit? My sled is a 2007 M1000.

Thank you in advance!

From my 900 RMK days, you had to make sure the lead wire was secured back to it's self or the vibration would brake the wires inside the lead.

I Also have broken two pipe sensors this year. Second one lasted almost 500 miles. Yay another 100 down the drain. If a person cuts the sensor apart from the wire side. you will see that the probe is just not built rigid enough. Take the time and cut it apart and you will see that its just not built heavy enough for rigors and vibrations that a 2 stroke has. Planning on making up a jumper to keep in my pocket for when it quits again.

I had one go out on my M6 this year, it would only act up at certain points in the powerband, but all in all the sled still ran pretty darn well. I ordered a new sensor and it worked great for about 1 day, day 2 it was gonzo. My dealer warrantied the sensor, I installed this one, only difference I used a little dielectric grease on the plugs to make sure I was getting a good connection. 2 days of hard riding and the sled runs great; Temp sensor still working!
