exclusive video of 2moto guys practicing for snowbike race!!! not fair!!!

Wow, the first snow bike race has spawned the first snow bike race smack talk....

I wonder if one of the conversions kits is faster than the other by design.

Explorer & 2-Moto kit guys () are welcome to Hawkfest to participate at the world's first "OSSMMX" (One-Ski-Snow-Machine-Mountain-Cross) Race !
You'll finally have the opportunity to kick our butts! After these 20 minutes, the truth will come out. :beer;:beer;:beer;

Sunday feb 15th, 1PM at Hawkfest, follow the group !

No practice please so it remains fair !

Kids got skills

Made me smile to see a boy having fun on a hawk, hope my daughter will try next year, Ive scared her a time or two on my 800, not a good strategy to get her to like snomachines.

Bench racing is far more interesting when the startgate isn't about to drop. I enjoy the fluffy banter and avoid stirring the pot as much as possible. Unfortunately for the Boivinites, the conversion that could sustain a greater top speed over whooped out nasties is surely the 2moto. I bet on a short course the difference will be smaller. The Explorer can be ridden just as hard at the <50mph speeds, but the rider skill and motivation will be the difference. I wonder how exciting passing will be. The exposure to a spinning track in a crash will be different and more dangerous than a tire.

Like most moto racing, getting the best start launch will be the difference between the podium and the pack.

I agree, the fastest man will win regardless which of the conversion kit. Just look at Bubba, "If he aint first he last" Ricky Bobbie Taladaga Nights

Wish I could make it there.

Having 2.1 inch paddles and pulling 2 gears taller on the RadiX will not make for much competition between brands. Acceleration is not even close. Then throw in some table top jumps and good whoops. The track is about 3/4 mile per lap.
Put Bubba on a 125cc bike with a bald rear tire up against his buddies on 450's with traction. Hmmm.

I think the race is a smart Idea. The problem with the Hawk was no competition. AD had no push by a compeditor to improve the product. I hope both snowbikes endure and evolve into somthing more like the Hawk but nimbler.

bubba seems to have slowed on the yamaha and reed quicken with suzuki. then there is villapoto on the kawi. this supercross seasons gonna be sick.

This years supercross races might actually be worth watching again..
I miss the days of old with guys like Wardy etc..where we had some competition. I dont think we'll see to many of these guys on snowbikes
I hear they dont like the cold.

When old MXers retire, they prefer to get into cages(race car/truck) or ride Supermoto. When was the last time you met retired snowbirds that followed, instead of ran from, the snow? Carmichael, Ward, Rick Johnson and Henry are good examples of this phenomena. They must get tender after all those years of banging bars and slamming into the dirt. The cold probably makes their worn out joints crackle and groan...
