My son has a 1993 yamaha exciter engine went down so i bought a used engine i think it was a 1988. anyway my stator and plate wont fit on the other engine(old engine has an adjustable plate and 1993 engine has 4 screws and plate is non adjustable i dont have any thing for the older engine so dont even know what to look for, what do i need to do to use my stator setup in the older engine or do i have to try and round up something else.i know my plug looks different than the older ones. thanks for any help
