exchange my mountain horse front ski to Yeti

I apologize if this has been covered already but, has anyone put a Yeti ski on a Mountain Horse spindle? Everything lines up and fits but the foam spacer which keeps the ski level is very tight and l would have to force things considerably for the bolt to slide in.

Does the mount block on the T.Sled need to be cut down to match the Yeti (v shaped)?

Appreciate any advice from someone which has already done this, thanks Will

I trimmed the foam to fit and reamed out the inside a little where the bolt goes in.

It comes with a new Bolt bushing for the new TI bolt and nut that Yeti supplies. You tap out the TS bushing and tap the supplied Yeti one in. That's it. Super easy. And let me tell you that Yeti ski is night and day better handling ski! It also stays up on top of the snow with no spray in the rad fins like the TS ski. Great Upgrade. Thanks Yeti

Yes the the ski is very easy to line up and see where all the parts go but the rubber is different in the two skis, the Yeti has a fatter rubber block which is fighting the install which is why I was looking for advice. Does one force it on or make modifications?

You don't use the Yeti Rubber all!!!! Remove it and just install the TS one.

No problem. Also make sure when you install the TS ski Rubber into the Yeti ski make sure the high side faces the front of the ski. TI bolt gets torqued to 35lbs.

Spoke with a Yetti dealer, apparently the bolt is to be torqued at 15 lbs and one is to uses Red Lock Tight.

I checked the nut and it comes off very easy, without Lock Tight.

Well Apparently your dealer doesn't know there product. I highlighted the torque in the instructions i got with my ski right from Yeti.
