Primary clutch is running hot. Pulled the cords out of a belt today. First belt i've blown on this sled(2400miles). About 500 miles on this belt. The only thing i have changed was adding more weight in the primary to stop over reving.I'm running the 046 belt. Only my second ride with the changes made, didn't have this problem before, so assuming this might cause clutch to heat up? Secondary is nowhere near as hot as the primary.

Do you have any venting? My m1000 ran very hot. I put the side vents on and now I can ride ten or so miles shut it off and put my hand on the clutch.

No Mnt bound, i do not have any venting. Will add some before the next ride though. So far this sled has been rock solid.

Too much weight can make the belt slip, try taking a gram or two away from what you were at before and you may actually drop rpm. Did this to my M1000, was running 76 at first, dropped a gram and lost 200 rpm, had to drop a couple more to get the rpms I wanted.
