Excell under tunnel exhaust. Any problems in powder with these exhausts?

I am looking at buying an Apex that has the Excell undermount exhaust and heard there may be a problem in deep snow with it restricting the exhaust and making the sled run poorly. It dumps just above the track and I can see a TON of snow being pumped up there in the deep. Has anybody got any expierience with this? If its a problem I can get the stock exhaust put back on. Also. How annoying is the exhaust as far as sound goes? Is it too loud and does it get annoying after a while? Thanks guys.

this may or may not help, i built my own titanium muffler for my nytro that exits under the tunnel i put a flap on it so it blows the exhaust to the sides, it will never let snow pack into it, the draw back on mine is it melts snow which is transformed to ice that builds up under the tunnel and on the drop brackets, and that is the cause of it, it doesnt happen to my freinds whos is all stock, im going to reroute it to its normal position. the good side of it is i removed 14 pounds and put 2 back on

Good to know ... I just got my Muzzy slip on today for my nytro and was going to route it under the tunnel.. Think I'll exit it out the back as well..

i have 700kms on my Nytro with the Yosh muffler under the tunnel with NO problems !!!! i have been in nothing but DEEP pow all year with it. i can haul spare gas now with no issues as well:D

thats why i put mine under, it may be because of the flap i put on to keep the snow out, maybe ill try removing it before i reroute, does yours have anything to prevent the track throwing snow into the pipe, i really dont think it could happen but i put it on just to be saafe

Thanks guys. How about the sound? Does it get too loud or not so bad? I've heard it and it sounds great but is a little loud but I havent heard it at wide open throttle. Not sure what it will be like to ride all day.

Not noisey!!!!

sound doesn't seem to be too bad........ honestly, don't even hear it other than taking off from stop. i have a small bracket holding the muffler up to the tunnel, but no real "protection".
