The waterless coolant does NOT make engine run cooler.
The function of the coolant, is that it doesn't boil (form bubbles) at the temps that water does.
When normal coolant reaches it's boiling point, it begins to form bubbles right at the cylinder / head surfaces. When the bubbles form, cooling STOPS.
Waterless coolant will not boil at those temps, therefore piston & cylinder damage doe not occur! It continues to cool at temps way beyond what normal "waterbased" coolant fails.
It would be well worth the investment. The only problem would be if you got a hole in your cooling system, and added water to get back to the truck, you have lost all the benefits of the waterless coolant.
