Eury Jr will stay at Hendrick in R&D. I would say rather than putting the blame on either Jr's, that the blame should be put on the car cheif instead. Big part of the cars set-up right there with him. If a Crew cheif change was made at all, I would say put Old School Tony Eury Sr in as the man for the job!
After listening to some callers on Sirius Nascar Radio, it sounds like Jr cannot get the concept that he isn't the boss. Sounds like when a call comes across that the crew chief wants to make a change, Jr. tells them that that wont work and not to do it and he gets quite vocal with them apparently (these people have the pit pass or scanners at the track??)
Look at Gordon last year.... everyone was ready to hang Letarte out to dry but look at where they are at this year. Now, Jr/Eury combo has never really been a HUGE success and I hope they can find someone who can put him in his place and comprehend what it is he is trying to tell them that is going on with the car and what he wants it to do. I'm just not sure getting rid of Eury is the answer, maybe a coach on the box listening to the calls and evaluating what's going on there or something? Maybe they've tried that? But the last time they were split up, things went from bad to worse immediately. What they really need is E Sr. on the box, too bad they can't make that happen.

The only way Hendrick will get the 88 car into the chase will be to replace the monkey behind the wheel with a driver.
Dale Jr is the problem... he isn't a top 20 driver... never has been. He is all hype.

get real--how many great drivers have never won Dayton or talledaga--jr has both and 2 nationwide championships--i do think jr and tony jr just couldnt get together on there ideas---time will tell
he owned talladega for a couple of years though

I'm not saying he can't improve... He just can't be in charge. He needs to be told what to do.....something he has trouble with.
well i don't think waltrip won more then 1 there. but it is sure wierd how dei had such a edge at the plate races for 2-3 years and they just fell off. jr won 4 in a row at dega and was very close to winning 5th in a row

he doesn't get it in the new car, or cannot comprehend what it takes to make it better, i think he tries to tell em what changes need to be made and they are not even close??
JR doesnt know how to make a car better. A crew cheif can only make the calls on the car if the driver tells him what its doing and what it needs!!!! Ever notice how jr starts good and finishes good (which is rare) but when he's junk he stays junk??? How many times have you seen jimmy johnson run like crap but in the end be up front???

Yeah whata legend! 7 champions in the worst era among drivers in nascar history. Put him aginst Kale Y. Richard Petty, and the true greats and legends of the sport... dale who???

Jr. is a love or hate deal.. blah blah blah... so is most of the other drivers in the cup today..
Just for fun though.. wouldn't it be cool to see how jr. would do with say chad knaus on his box.. then we could see if it is truely a crew chief problem or a driver problem.
